My Mission
My mission as a dietitian is to help individuals understand the link between nutrition and their health condition. To help people reduce the burden chronic diseases are having on their lives and improve their health span.
I will endeavor to continuously improve my understanding of nutritional biochemistry, physiology, research and sustainable behaviour change in order to distill that information into simple, actionable nutrition interventions for my patients.
Personal Philosophy
Continue to learn and iterate, always stay open to changing your perspective and to new ideas. Create an open and shared space. Enjoy the process.
Why Nutrition and Dietetics?
Most chronic health conditions are rooted in our modern food environment. Many of us never take the time, or are provided the opportunity to think about the WHY behind our chronic conditions. Why do I have high blood pressure? Why do I have diabetes or irritable bowel syndrome. Why can’t I lose weight or have the energy I need? Understanding the why will almost certainly lead you on a path to realising that nutrition is one of the major factors impacting your health conditions.
Knowing that the food we consume can lead towards chronic health conditions should empower us to understand that changing our nutrition can also have the opposing effect of giving your body the ability to regain it’s health and vitality.
